| Army Intelligence expert, Colonel Jack O’Neil, is heading a top secret team investigating a mysterious artefact unearthed at Giza. Unable to decipher its code, the Army call in eminent Egyptologist, Daniel Jackson, who identifies the object as a Stargate – a portal to another galaxy. O’Neal leads Jackson and a reconnaissance team through the Stargate, which transports them millions of light years from earth and leaves them stranded on an alien planet.
